Bruce Lisker Wrongful Conviction Survivor

Prison Poetry · A Life in Verse

Precipice

His coming years' blindfolded, ill-fated slippingIn his moccasined feet towards his stupid, self-trippingAs wise counsel gave voice to considered dissuasionThis bright young fool waived it as more nagging persuasions

Naturally hippy, a trip-minded skaterA bike racing partier, never a haterInebrious, stoned, drunk and downcast ambitionOften wishing for time spent alone with his fishing

Seeking only bliss in a weed-shrouded smoke screenTo dull some of the school-failing "F" grades
