Down Time

Black and white imageof bars and steel locksOf castrated libertyManacles, stocks

Know what I'm meaningThe words that I saythe tears that I cryMy soul's final fray

We're in this togetherAnd make what it isAnd fight the great dragonFrom fire to fizz

God's greatest gloryIn prison or outResilience unboundedI powerfully shout

The smallest of seedsGrows the greatest of oaksAnd the sprouted weak addictsInto powerful folks

Tested in battleTo death's shaking doorIn extremis and emptyWe are strong at the core
