"1983-1985"
An idiot simpleton who jumped to conclusionsUnable to reason, "If not the boy, who then?"If Monsue had soft-shoed his dance might be truerBut jack-booted stomping made his thin line bluer
All stand up and rail 'gainst this dark-hearted manWho set up, and lied, and convicted as canA misguided, drugged and by truth blinded childWas caught in his web and laid waste by his guile
This infernal devil yet hidden by shieldHis power, corrupted, believed yet, and sealedA drug addict's mother was faithlessly takenA father, a family, a young life's forsaken
Deceit ran in rivers, yet calmly conveyedIn cheap suits, with dead eyes, disaster was laidA killer released and declared to be cleanLying snitch in the Bastille, eventually seen
Both the son and his dad understandably screamedYet their words were not listened to, so it would seemAnd though contra the devil's wild falsificationsThe truth, and the proof of it, lay station to station
But shocking many were the liesAnd reasoned jurors asking whyCould see may' one or two deceptionsBut all these, devil's, pray acceptance?
The liar's tales were grand and tallAnd like hurled offal towards a wallWhat sticks is time-consuming scrapingWhile fearing still more messy making
Deeply ingrained and deep-seated reactionA matricide wails out for some satisfactionMisperceived so, this case stirred the passionsThe verdict, the jury's, was swiftly conviction
Blind faith in systems of well-meaning justiceThe jury, three days searching all, trying to trust usNo fault lay with them, they were frozen like deerIn the bright light performance which played to their fear
