A hearth-driven kitchen in the Old Mill District, where everything meets live flame and the table is meant to be lingered at.
We built Amber & Oak around a single wood-burning hearth and a short, changing menu of whatever the season is doing best. No shortcuts, no freezer, no pretense — just fruitwood embers, patient hands, and produce from growers we know by name.
The room is low-lit and warm on purpose. Come hungry, stay late.
Oak and applewood burn down to a bed of embers we tend all night. Everything — the bread, the leeks, even dessert — takes a turn over the flame. It's slower. It's harder. It tastes like nothing else.
"A love letter to live fire — the most quietly confident room in the city."The Chronicle · Restaurant of the Year
